One of the latest Trevi Group technology lands in Japan!

June 14, 2007

Last 4th of June, Japan Foundation Engineering Co.Ltd President, Mr. Eiji Yuzawa, Trevi Spa President, Mr. Gianluigi Trevisani, and Soilmec Japan Co. Ltd representatitve, Mr. Tatsuo Nagayama, meet at Trevi Group head office, in Cesena, to sign an agreement for the know how transfer and  sole license of Trevi Directional Drilling Technology to JFE for Japanese market.

TDDT allows to keep a record in real time, and to correct the direction of the probe while drilling thus achieving a very accurate and precise hole path.

This technology is behind important works accomplished, or still in progess, by Trevi.
Among these:

- Naples Subway: soil freezing for tunnel boring (Garibaldi, Toledo and Università stations).
- Bologna, High Speed Railway: compensation grouting.
- Arapuni Dam, New Zealand: consolidation works and cut-off restoration.

After an extensive market research, Japan Foundation decided that TDDT was the most suitable and reliable technology for those future  projects, where construction of new tunnels in urban areas, barrier walls,  isolation and recovery of polluted areas and protection of industrial plants from seismic risk requires little or no deviation of long drilled holed.
