New SR-80 LHR

Due to the continuous growth of urban areas, it has been necessary to consider our rigs capacity to work in restricted space conditions: under power or telephone lines for example, or inside pre-existing structures such as under bridges.
To satisfy this growing market demand, Soilmec has developed a dedicated low-headroom conversion kit to fit the SR-65, SR-70 and SR-80 rigs, for carrying out deep and large diameter piles.
The new Soilmec SR-80 LHR kit has been designed to complete SR-80 base carrier, it is available separately as a simple kit. It includes a dedicated short mast, a modified boom articulation and a new rotary group.
In this configuration, main rig characteristics are the following:

•    Max. pile diameter:     2500 mm,
•    Max. pile depth:     60,9 m,
•    Max. nominal torque:    250 kNm
•    pull/up down force:     230 kN

The very first SR-80 LHR was sold to Aldridge Electric, one of the major American infrastructure contractors, and exhibited at Las Vegas Conexpo show in last March encountering great interest from visitors.
