On Soilmec machines when the operator sits in the cab the all-round visibility is ensured by large size windscreens, lateral windows and mirrors.

A CCTV camera system gives him all the images he needs for safe operation when direct visibility is not possible.

Four or five cameras, depending on the rig size, transmit the images to a sturdy 7” colour monitor ergonomically located in the driving cab. Two cameras control the front and rear areas to the right of the rig’s operator; one camera, located under the counterweight, controls the area just behind the rig and one camera on the mast controls the whole rear area around the rig. In biggest rigs, a fifth camera is added to allow the operator to control the winches area.
