A new Soilmec SR-75 working for Wagstaff Piling in New South Wales

A new Soilmec SR-75 is working in Macquarie Park, NSW (Australia) for our client Wagstaff Piling.

The machine is performing piles with a diameter ranging from 750 to 900 millimeters to depths from 9 to 18 meters. Drilling through shale, so far the machine has a production of about 80-90 linear meters per day (that is complete drilling, cleaning bottom holes, caging and concreting). In terms of comfort, rotary torque, rigging up and ease of use, the feedback from the client has been very positive.

Steve Harkin, NSW Construction Manager Wagstaff Piling, told us: “One of the key factors that drove us towards this machine in lieu of some other machines was the conversion time from bored piles to CFA, and also the rig up time: this machine offers a lot of efficiencies in that respect. Soilmec is a well known brand so we had no issues with quality. In relation to fuel-efficiency, the machine has been very efficient so far, since it’s averaging between 150 and 200 liters of fuel per day, working pretty much flat the whole time. It is also a very quiet machine, a very important feature for a high-profile project like this one”.

Daniele Infanti, Managing Director Soilmec Australia, commented this significant sale: “Wagstaff Piling is a very important client for us, a relevant contractor in the Australian market. This sale is really meaningful for Soilmec Australia and can represent a valuable reference for our presence in the country. We are also glad that the early feedback on the machine has been very positive”.
