Soilmec in Action: HV Naples-Bari, a Fascinating Engineering Challenge

Four Soilmec drilling rigs are working on one of the most important and strategic infrastructure projects in Southern Italy, the High-Speed Naples-Bari connection, a project that will significantly reduce travel times between Naples and Bari.

With a total investment of 5.8 billion euros, the 145 km route will cross the country from east to west, facing complex engineering challenges among tunnels and viaducts. The Apice-Hirpinia section, in particular, requires innovative solutions to overcome the geomorphological difficulties of the terrain

In this context, our Soilmec machines are the undisputed protagonists. The fleet, consisting of an SR-45, two SR-65s, and an SR-75, is engaged in the construction of approximately 60,000 meters of bored and cast-in-place piles, with diameters up to 1,500 mm. These machines, powerful yet agile, are essential for tackling the logistical and technical challenges of the site.

Thanks to the commitment and dedication of our team and our partners, we are helping to create a project that will be a great boost for the economy of the involved areas. We are proud to be part of this extraordinary project and to once again demonstrate the reliability and excellence of our drilling rigs.

With Soilmec, innovation is always on the move.
