Open Day in Dubai

Soilmec and El Didi Group have invited customers from the Emirates and Egypt to attend a two-days seminar in Dubai on February 24th and 25th.

During the first day, more than 100 people attended a half-day session where, among all Soilmec products for piles and diaphragm walls, soil consolidation, drilling and grouting, a special focus was put on the SR-125 platform and on the new SC-135 Tiger hydromill.

The key aspects of the SR-125 platform were illustrated with reference to several successful projects performed worldwide. All over the world, in fact, the SR-125, SR-135 and SR-145 are proving their capability: to complete a CFA 800mm diameter pile at 36.6m in sand and clay in 32 minutes; to excavate a 1,500mm diameter pile at 86m depth with a deviation at its bottom less than 0.3%; to perform a 3.0m diameter fully cased pile at 78.6m depth with 7.5m of bedrock. The SC-135 Tiger, with the installed power of 708 kW, the double hydraulic system, a powerful mud pump and the cutting motor power and reliability, was presented with a special focus on a job site in China where, in sound granite, a production of more than 11m³/hour was achieved.

In the afternoon, the guests visited a customer’s job-site where a brand new SR-125 was working to perform 1,000mm piles. This was the occasion to see this model driving a casing for 12m into the soil without soil extraction, with the best combination of torque and pull-down and to prove how this unit is the most silent rig in its range compared to Soilmec competitors’ equipment.

The second day was dedicated to one-on-one meetings with customers, discussions about technological aspects of specific projects, questions about products, service, data management. It was the best opportunity to underline our pay-off: “Soilmec, the Ground Engineering Global Solution Provider”.
