Soilmec, the Star of Geofluid 2018

The 22th Geofluid exhibition was held in Piacenza, Italy, from 3rd to 6th October 2018, an event that is mainly focused on underground drilling fluids, geotechnics, special foundations and tunnelling.

The Soilmec stand boasted a dedicated outdoor “arena” which draw the attention of hundreds of visitors coming from over 40 countries. In that comfortable environment, visitors discussed their projects surrounded by the warm hospitality offered by our staff. Old and future customers, both Italian and international, appreciated the thoroughness of the products along with the Soilmec’s technology and after-sales support.

The Micropile division introduced two hydraulic drilling rigs for micropile applications. The SM-9, equipped with a down-the-hole (DTH) hammer and the SM-22, set up in jet grouting configuration, fitted with a boom extension capable to reach a jetting treatment depth of 27m in a single pass.

The real “star” of this Geofluid edition, what was undoubtedly the most successful rig among visitors, was the new SR-65 EVO, namely a hydraulic drilling rig for large diameter piles. The equipment is characterized by an innovative, compact, and powerful design that maintains the traditional trademark of agility and easy handling that contributed to making this Soilmec product segment the number one in the world.
